The conference programmes have been revealed for the four conference theatres at the AMI Plastics World Expos at Messe Essen in Germany on 14-15 June 2023. They are free to attend and are focused on plastics recycling, compounding and testing. Compiled by AMI’s expert conference teams, the programmes feature busi- ness debates, technology talks, market forecasts and practical training seminars. Eva Haak, Senior Confer-

Previero gets major new shareholder

Asset manager Ambienta has acquired a majority stake in Italian recycling machinery group Previero, after deeming it an ideal fit for its invest- ment strategy. Founded in 1922, Como-based

Previero and its plastics technology company Sorema are capable of offering turnkey recycling solutions covering the entire pre-processing phase for all types of feedstocks.

www.plasticsrecyclingworld.com Mauro Roversi, Founding Partner

and Private Equity CIO at Ambienta, said: “Plastics have become the ubiquitous material of the modern economy and their use is expected to double again in the next 20 years. The need to increase plastic circularity is then becoming more and more urgent, with all global consumer packaging and retail companies committing to achieve up to 50% recycled content in

their packaging by 2030. This will substantially increase global invest- ments in additional recycling capacity over the next decade.” Machinery made by Previero includes granulators, shredders and pelletisers. Sorema’s technology and installation expertise includes recycling lines for PET, HDPE and PP, plus washing lines and other equipment. https://previero.it
