Better quality with thorough cleaning

Plastics recycling faces numerous challenges, including dealing with contamination, varying material types, and stringent cleanliness standards. With effective washing processes so critical to overcoming these hurdles on the way to producing high-quality recycled materials, the rapid evolution of associated technologies represents a pivotal advancement. By integrating hot and cold washing, or alternatives like dry cleaning, facilities are now able to achieve higher efficiency, quality, and sustainability in their operations than ever before. BoReTech has recently signed a contract with

LNJ Greenpet, a subsidiary of Bhilwara Energy, to supply an advanced food-grade PET bottle recycling and washing system for LNJ’s PET project in Rajasthan, India. Leveraging BoReTech’s next- generation ES process, the collaboration will enable the production of food-grade recycled PET through an efficient, energy-saving, and reliable process.

www.plasticsrecyclingworld.com With an investment of Rupees 7.5bn (€75.4m),

the project spans 95 acres and is expected to create 750 jobs. Scheduled to commence produc- tion in September 2026, the facility will recycle 20m bottles per day, generating 100,000 tonnes/yr of food-grade recycled PET resin primarily for the packaging and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors. The plant will incorporate the latest technology to ensure superior quality, efficiency, and compliance with global food safety standards. BoReTech’s ES process integrates modularisation

and process optimisation, delivering significant advantages, according to the company. Key benefits include a reduction of around 25% in floor space requirements, superior cleaning performance by virtue of the pulse washing process, and increased automation which reduces labour demand by 33%, optimises energy consumption, and lowers produc- tion costs. India is considered a key market for
