Mack Molding buys more machines to meet demand


Mack Molding, which claims to be one of the largest US custom moulders of automotive parts, is adding two new 1,300-tonne Wittmann Battenfeld injection moulding presses with 1.7 kg shot sizes at its headquarters site in Arlington, Vermont. One is already in place with the other expected to arrive in early summer. The company will also


add three 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 US ton Cincinnati Milacrons this autumn at its facility in Inman, South Carolina, with barrel sizes of 362, 540 and also 540 oz respectively.

Logoplaste announces death of founder Marcel de Botton


Portuguese rigid packaging group Logoplaste has announced “with immense grief” the passing of its founder Marcel de Botton. Having owned one of the


largest plastic factories in the greater Lisbon area, de Botton had to hand the company over after the 1974 revolution but started up again in 1976 with a totally new business model of small manufacturing plants inside the client’s factories, sometimes called a “through-the-wall” model. “Logoplaste was born
