Fomtec is showing the FT-1600F-R2-V rotary table vertical machine. It adopts a traditional three-plate design, which keeps the clamp structure stable and reliable. Powerjet Plastic Machinery is exhibiting its KPET-E6 high speed preform machine at Chinaplas 2021. It claims that, compared to traditional injection moulding machines, the KPET-E6 shows a 30-40% energy saving. Equipped with a dedicated screw for PET, the machine is capable of fast injection speeds at lower plasticising temperatures, which reduces preform shrinkage and increases product transparency. The KPET-E6 machine is said to be well suited to moulding PET water bottle preforms weighing 10-20g in 48 or 64 cavity moulds and PET oil bottle preforms weighing 100-300g with 8, 12 or 24 cavity moulds.

Powerjet’s DP600-S6 is a two-
platen high-speed injection moulding machine. It features low-friction linear guide rails on the clamp and uses a special high L/D ratio screw that is said to improve plasticising. A high-speed proportional valve is used on the clamp for fast mould opening and closing while an optimised hydraulic oil circuit provides precise control of back pressure and injection. The company is also showing its SpaceA additive manufacturing system, which uses a granule-fed extruder and robotic manipulator.
