Loiuse, Estonia Toomas Koobas 2016

Around €18 million Private

Hohle, founded in 2016, is an Estonian producer of plastic microducts for fibre optic cables. Most of these are produced for OEMs – though it also produces a few of its own branded products. Its main customers are Estonian internet companies, though it also exports to other Nordic countries – as well as Germany, Greece, and Spain. Last year, the company became a subsidiary of UK-based Hellermann Tyton.

Product lines:

The company produces both single and multi microducts at its facilities. SingleHöhle microducts are available in diameters of 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 20mm – and are made from virgin high density polyethylene (HDPE). MultiHöhle microducts are available in bundles from two up to 25 and are also made from virgin HDPE. Products have a silicone-coated low friction inner layer which can be grooved or smooth. The range includes microducts for direct buried and duct installed application areas.

Factory location:

The company has a production facility in Estonia. The plant, in Loiuse village in Rapla county, occupies a total space of more than 6,700 sq m. It replaces the company’s original – smaller – plant in Jaluse. The factory operates around the clock and produces more than 200km of microducts per day. Hohle recently invested in X-ray measuring systems from Sikora.
