TechnoCompound expands LGF capacity

In response to growing demand for long-glass-fibre- reinforced compounds, TechnoCompound is carrying out an expansion at its Bad Sobernheim site in Germany. The work is being

conducted without making significant changes to the processes or altering the technical concept of the existing facilities, with the new production line sched- uled to be operational by the second quarter of 2027. “By further expanding

making a targeted invest- ment in TechnoCompound’s future,” said Sales Manager Rifat Erden. “The expansion, which will add a further 4,800 tonnes per year, is our response to the steadily

growing demand for high-performance, long- glass-fibre-reinforced compounds.” The compounds contain 25-60% PCR material. www.technocompound.com

Syklo Group has officially opened its new Hyvinkää circular economy hub, combining Finland’s largest plastic recycling plant with an industrial- scale biocomposite facility. The total investment is €70-80m, making it unique in scale on an international level, according to Syklo. The recycling plant is able to process 50,000 tonnes/ yr, raising Finland’s recycling capacity by 50%. These pellets are a raw

material for the neighbour- ing biocomposite facility. www.syklo.com
