sional stability. “This material allowed us to effi- ciently manufacture the propellers, minimizing the resistant sections and increasing overall perfor- mance,” they said. The Later G AM UVH-V0HF compound includes additives to achieve V0 flame retardancy, and also exhibits high UV and hydrolysis stability. These characteristics made it ideal for the Marino head, which is constantly exposed to sunlight and external agents.

Formnext offerings The Formnext 2025 event in Frankfurt, Germany provided a showcase for new materials. Arkema exhibited Orgasol PA12 for powder bed fusion technologies, which it said offers outstanding powder recyclability and superior surface quality. The high-performance material helps reduce material variable costs by up to 50%, it said. Other highlights for Arkema’s PA materials included Nomura, a sculptural coffee table 3D printed by Poolp with Rilsan Clear transparent PA pellets. Arkema also showed N3xtDimension flame

retardant resins. These UV-curable materials are engineered for demanding applications in elec-

tronics, aerospace, and transportation, offering excellent flame resistance, mechanical perfor- mance, and surface quality. Another offering in additive manufacturing was the company’s Sar- tomer UV-curable urethane oligomers. At Formnext, 3D print technology group HP

presented the expansion of its polymer portfolio with the HP 3D HR PA 11 Gen2 material for its Jet Fusion 5600 Series printers. This polymer is a ductile, bio-based material for repeatable and cost-effective part production enabling up to 80% material reusability and up to 40% lower cost than previous PA 11 generations.
