Skating in the shed

Cattle breeder Pablo Pato practices his skating skills inside his stable in Llanuces, Spain. With his yellow inline skates on, the 33 year old gathers speed on the concrete floor in the cow shed, jumps onto a purpose-built platform, does backflips and lands in front of his specta- tors: the cows. Reuters reports that every now and then, when his duties and the harsh mountain weather allow it, Pato briefly leaves the tiny village to take part in regional free- style competitions before human audiences, but the only way he can practise is on the cattle farm. He already has various medals won in the championships hanging on the wall, but still, when asked what is more important to him, cows or skating, Pato immediately replied “cows”.
