Many dairy innovations at EuroTier

At the upcoming EuroTier, there will be many new products and solutions for dairy farmers on display. Some have won an innovation medal and some are just worth sharing. Here is Dairy Global’s pick of what dairy experts can look out for in Hanover.

he EuroTier 2018 takes place from 13 to 16 Novem- ber at Hanover’s Exhibition Grounds in Germany. The exhibition offers great opportunities for cattle farmers from across the globe to network, see the

latest innovations and to share experiences. This year, EuroTier has a strong focus on digital animal farming and linking information sources to assist farmers in making better decisions. Think of smart sensors for cows, connecting data on a farm to create better advice and robotics on-farm that help in labour intensive tasks. A range of developments will be showcased for better and more advanced dairy farming. A selection has been made here.

Albert Kerbl: Hall 11, stand D43 (silver medal EuroTier). Two-component adhesives are often used to fasten hoof blocks in hoof care. Their curing speed is, however, highly dependent on the ambient temperature. In the Heatbox from Kerbl, which consists of 2 chambers, the adhesives can now be optimally tempered to a constant 20°C. The adhesive cures more quickly and considerably shortens the treatment duration and improves the durability of the blocks on the hoof.
