The following members of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) have been disciplined in accordance with Article VI – Code of Professional Conduct and Article VII – Disciplinary Procedures of the ETFO Constitution.


The following penalties (as noted) apply to the members listed below:


a. A letter of discipline issued by the General Secretary to the member.


b. Publication of the name of the member and the finding of the Executive in regard to the complaint in a Federation document.


c. Suspension of the right to hold local or provincial office in the Federation for a specified period.


ETFO ACTION ON ANTI-BLACK RACISM ETFO’s Anti-Black Racism Strategy is focused on creating systemic changes to confront anti- Black racism and providing a more welcoming and inclusive union environment for Black members at provincial and local levels. Given the legacy and current prevalence of anti-Black racism in colonial systems, institutions and society, ETFO Action on Anti-Black Racism — Building an Inclusive School Workplace and Union brochure along with other resources can be found at etfo.ca/buildingajustsociety/anti-blackracism/.


d. Denial of any or all services normally provided by the Federation, except for such services as must be provided by law for a specified period.


e. A fine for each day of the strike that the member did not withdraw services, or for each day that the member did not picket and an exemption was not granted.
