TESSENDERLO, BELGIUM — Melexis has launched the next member of its MeLiBu® family, the MLX81143 LED driver. It includes 21 LED drivers and improves the power manage- ment of the full system. The MLX81143 has an extremely wide dimming range allowing optimal brightness adjustment during night and day. The MeLiBu interface makes it possi- ble to drive up to 3,000 LEDs in a car at the same time. The sys- tem enables dynamic safety warnings and communication with the driver.
CML Intros Low-Power Cascadable Gain Blocks
MALDON, UK — CML Micro - circuits has introduced its CMX90G301 and CMX90G302 positive gain slope amplifiers. Developed using CML’s innova- tive SµRF RFIC/MMIC design capability, these general-purpose gain blocks are ideally suited for a wide range of wireless applica- tions operating in the 1.4 to 7.1 GHz frequency range, including 4G/5G infrastructure applica- tions and devices operating in license-free bands.

to adopt animated lighting in the cabin to provide important infor- mation such as driver-assistance prompts and vehicle status updates. Changing colors and different blinking sequences enhance mes- sages in need of driver attention. However, this presents engineering chal- lenges, such as maintaining consistent color across all of the LEDs and implementing simultaneous light changes. The MLX81143 addres -
ses such challenges by inte-
grating the Melexis CAN over UART MeLiBu (patented license- free) solution. This high-speed communication interface controls individual LEDs to implement

the lighting effects defined by the vehicle’s systems. The intelligent RGB-LED controller also pro- vides real-time compensation of any color drift caused by environ- mental changes, and color- mixing accuracy of less than 1% to eliminate any distinguishable differences
between LEDs. Contact: Melexis

Positive gain slope amplifiers.
Both devices use GaAs
pHEMT technology to achieve an optimal combination of low DC power, low noise, and high gain. The CMX90G301 has +1 dB posi- tive gain slope, while the CMX90G302 offers a +2 dB gain slope for applications requiring more gain-slope compensation. Both devices deliver a small signal gain of 14.8 to 16.0 dB, a P1 dB output rating of +11.5 dBm at 3.5 GHz and a low noise figure of 2 dB. As with other devices in the
family, the CMX90G301 and CMX90G302 gain blocks have been designed for ease of use, with a high level of integration, supporting minimized compo- nent counts and reduced PCB
footprints. Contact: CML Microcircuits (UK) Ltd., Oval Park, Langford,
