Pulsiv Unveils Power Electronics Technology
CAMBRIDGE, UK — Pulsiv has introduced a new power electron- ics technology, OSMIUM. It uses a small storage capacitor without the need for a PFC inductor. This unique solution delivers high power factor, consistently high efficiency and an ultra-compact system design. Pulsiv OSMIUM technology can be used to improve overall system efficiency, optimize cost and contribute towards reduc- ing global energy consumption. The Pulsiv OSMIUM micro-
controller family and supporting components can be combined with commodity flyback DC-DC converters to displace higher- cost LLC solutions. Pulsiv has demonstrated a universal input, single switch 150W flyback power supply design that deliv- ers 97.5% average (99.5% peak) front-end efficiency while main- taining 90% at just 2W. A 240W interleaved flyback is currently being developed and work is underway to showcase reference
designs with even higher power capability. Pulsiv OSMIUM microcontrollers (PSV-AD-150
PSV-AD-250-DS development system.
and PSV-AD-250 sampling now) do not directly determine output power and can be used as a plat- form for any application requir- ing 1W to 10 kW, by adjusting only three system components and connecting a suitable DC-DC converter.

Omni Pro Offers HALO 2.5G and 5G Ethernet Transformers
Test for gross and fine leaks in as little as 6 minutes.*
ADDISON, TX — Omni Pro Electronics is now offering HALO Electronics’ new line of 2.5G and 5G Ethernet transformers to address the increasing data rates of enterprise networking equip- ment and the higher bandwidth requirements of wireless access points. The 2.5G/5G data rates are an important intermediary step between the 1G and 10G data rates; offering increased data transfer over 1G using existing cable installs as well as lower power consumption per port when compared to 10G. HALO’s 2.5G and 5G trans-
formers are available in two pack- ages. The NZ and NZ5 industry standard packages are available
in standard temperature and extended temperature versions with PoE, PoE+, and 4PPoE (+90W) capabilities. HALO’s 2.5G and 5G discrete Ethernet trans- formers are designed to meet or exceed the IEEE802.3bz stan- dard. Additional terms that have been used for 2.5G/5G data rates include Multi-Gig, NBASE-T, and MGBASE-T. HALO’s 2.5G and 5G transformers support 3-speed, 4- speed, and 5-speed backward com-
patibility with slower data rates. Contact: Omni Pro

Only NorCom optical leak technology detects both gross and fine leaks in hermetically sealed packages, this fast. Instead of using multiple technologies
and processes, you can leak test virtually any type of package with one high-speed system. The NorCom 2020™
series inspects hermetically sealed components to
MIL-STD 883 requirements either in seam seal trays, or when already mounted to circuits boards and assemblies. It automatically rejects failed devices, and reports the leak rate for each part, eliminating “divide and conquer”leak testing.

COSEL Adds Medical Power Supply Series
SAN JOSE, CA — COSEL has expanded its medical power offering with the addition of a 1,500W version to its PJMA series. The 1,500W PJMA1500F has a universal input range of 85 to 264 VAC and complies with international safety standards. Designed for demanding medical applications, the PJMA series is suitable for Body Floating (BF) applications and complies with 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (OUT/FG) safety requirement. Based on a robust platform,
the units’ design has been opti- mized to offer a very good price/performance ratio for med- ical applications requiring a high
quality power solution. The PJMA series is available in four output voltages of 12, 24, 36 and 48 VDC. Medical applications require
robust and highly reliable power supplies that are able to operate around the world and comply with safety regulations. The PJMA series can be operated within the so-called “universal Input” range of 85 to 264 VAC, and has a typical efficiency up to
88% at high line. Contact: COSEL U.S.A.,
