NEWS HULTAFORS GROUP ACQUIRES
HELLBERG SAFETY The Hultafors Group which owns Snickers Workwear, Solid Gear Safety Footwear and Hultafors Tools has acquired Hellberg Safety.
Hellberg Safety is a specialised supplier of PPE equipment which includes highly advanced hearing protection products, face protection and communication solutions for personal protection.
David Clark, Managing Director of the Hultafors Group UK said: “We are delighted with this acquisition given that Hellberg PPE products complement the Snickers Workwear and Solid Gear Safety Footwear product portfolios perfectly - in particular the recently extended Snickers Workwear Hi-Vis working clothes range.”

Chubb Systems Limited has received a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the sixth consecutive year. It comes as Chubb Fire & Security Limited received the Gold Award for the third time.
In addition to the award, Chubb Systems received a gold medal in recognition of achieving the top Gold Award for six consecutive years.
Nichola Maher, EH&S Manager at Chubb Systems, believes the award and medal are testament to a sustained commitment to environment, health and safety. She said: “We continually assess all areas of behaviour and culture to ensure environment, health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. The RoSPA awards are an important opportunity for us to celebrate the business’ achievements in ensuring employees are working to best practice safety standards.”
This year, the Chubb Systems award was accepted by service engineer Ronnie Wineberg who won the business’ annual Recognition award for going above and beyond in support of Chubb’s health and safety practices. “Having robust health and safety practices at work is essential,” said Ronnie. “As an employee, by demonstrating our commitment to these practices, we are helping to ensure that we all get home safely at the end of a shift. I was proud to collect the award in recognition of Chubb’s health and safety practices and my commitment to them.”
RoSPA Gold Award winners are recognised for achieving a high level of performance while demonstrating well- developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and low levels of error, harm and loss. Chubb, a provider of security and fire-safety solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Mark Redding, Head of Environmental Health and Safety at Chubb Fire & Security, believes RoSPA is extremely important to the entire business.
