In this issue, we take a deep-dive into Mental Health, Stress & Wellbeing. In her article this month, Adriana Aleksandrova, Consultant for Healthscreen, examines the construction industry and believes that building a stigma- free environment is key to addressing the mental health crisis in the sector. “The sector’s high-pressure environment physically demanding tasks, and traditional stoicism contribute to unique mental health challenges,” she says. “These challenges are compounded by a cultural backdrop that traditionally undervalues emotional vulnerability, making it difficult for those struggling to seek help.” The key, Adriana argues, is to embrace cultural shifts, break down the barriers and create a healthier, more productive workforce.
We also turn to PPE & Workwear, with HAIX’s Simon Ash sharing his opinion on the importance of buying footwear that complies with industrial safety standards and its role in mitigating the risk of slips, trips, and falls within the workplace, and Snickers Workwear looking at the history of trousers and how the first trousers ever made have driven the latest innovations in modern work trousers 2,500 years later.
There's plenty to get you through the month. Enjoy the read.
