HEALTH & SAFETY EVENT

A-SAFE Stand G61

A-SAFE, a safety barrier manufacturer will be exhibiting their latest range of customer solutions at The Health & Safety Event.

A-SAFE’s industrial strength polymer safety barriers have revolutionised

workplace safety. Their products are scientifically designed to absorb and dissipate impacts from vehicles or hardware, protecting infrastructure, assets and workforce - optimising H&S standards.

The stand will feature their most recent innovations and most popular products, including their award- winning traffic management solutions and pedestrian segregation systems. With a wide range of impact heights and strengths available, A-SAFE’s barriers can be tailored to meet any customer requirement, outlining traffic routes and providing physical protection if an accident does occur by cushioning and deflecting impact forces.

EVAC+CHAIR Stand F50

Evac+Chair will be showcasing its emergency evacuation chairs at this year’s Health and Safety event.

Visitors to the Evac+Chair stand number F50, will be able to explore the UK manufacturer’s innovative product

range, watch demonstrations that show how easy the chairs are to use and get advice on how they are used in emergency planning for multi-storey buildings.

Buildings across the UK are accessible to all ages and a diverse range of mobility requirements. This means that building owners, landlords and employers all need greater clarity on how to ensure everyone – no matter their needs – is supported by effective planning and emergency procedures to ensure their safety. The rise of co-working spaces and virtual offices is making this task increasingly complex, as plans need to adapt in real-time to meet the needs of whoever is using a building at any given time.

“It is important that those responsible for the safety for a building know how to effectively pre-plan for the evacuation of people they may not be aware of prior to the emergency,” said Colin Moore, UK Sales Manager at Evac+Chair.

“As we change the way we access and use buildings, emergency plans and procedures need to be kept up- to-date.

“At the Health and Safety Event, we’ll be sharing best practice evacuation advice and explaining the importance of training and practicing procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose.”

Colin will also be discussing how to ensure you have a safe evacuation policy – highlighting the small changes which can and should influence your evacuation procedures – at the Fire Safety Keynote Theatre on 11 April, 11:00am-11:30am.

To ensure best practice compliance, testing and training for safe evacuations, Evac+Chair carries out thousands of free site surveys to help organisations keep processes and procedures up-to-date and fit for purpose. It also provides training for key personnel.

New products will also be showcased including the new A-SAFE Sign Cap. This unique addition makes health and safety information easy to integrate into traffic routes, maximising visibility for both pedestrians and drivers. The Sign Cap is resilient, low maintenance and a simple addition to existing A-SAFE solutions thanks to the interchangeable caps and pins.

A-SAFE will also be able to speak to exhibition visitors about PAS 13, a new Code of Practice for safety barriers used in the workplace. Published by the BSI, PAS 13 contains best practice traffic management procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, and guidelines for assessing the impact resilience of barriers to ensure they are fit for purpose. PAS 13 was developed in conjunction with an expert steering committee including the Health and Safety Executive, British Industrial Truck Association, and RIBA Enterprises.

Neil Clifford, Managing Director of A-SAFE UK said: “We are looking forward to exhibiting our marketing- leading safety range at the Health & Safety Event this April. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our products and offer PAS 13 compliant safety solutions for businesses across the country.”
