Residents Safety – Lessons from Grenfell Keith Scott, Director of Residents Safety, Camden Council Following the horrific fire at Grenfell tower in 2017 Camden Council have decided to make a step change their approach to safety of residents. Their new Director of Residents Safety will discuss the work that they are doing and how they are engaging with other local authorities and housing authorities to drive a national conversation about this important subject.
This session will provide unique insight into findings of key reviews launched following the Grenfell fire and learn what safety practitioners can do to help drive a national conversation about the safety of residents in multi- occupied buildings.
Industry Voices Getting to the Heart of the Matter The show will also see the return of the Safety Dialogue theatre, sponsored by 3M, a popular feature with attendees at its first appearance at the 2017 event. Sessions comprise of panel-led discussions from of experts and experienced end-users as they debate technical issues in the safety industry today including managing noise and vibration, training and competence, using RPE and working in confined spaces.
Co-located with Fire Safety Scotland and Facilities Scotland, the events are part of the Scotland Works event series which promises to be a key date in any Scottish safety professionals diary.
