Hello and welcome to the April issue of Tomorrow’s Health & Safety.
We are gearing up to head to the Health & Safety Event at the end of this month (28th – 30th April). It promises to be one of the biggest exhibitions for the health and safety industry this year and gives like-minded professionals a great chance to network with peers from across the sector. Tomorrow’s H&S, alongside our sister publication Tomorrow’s FM, will be exhibiting at the show, so please do come and see us on our stand for a catch up about what we have in store over the next 12 months. You can check out our Event Guide on pages 20-21 and view some stand out exhibitors on pages 22-23.
In this issue, Lone Worker Protection is under the spotlight. According to a key finding from SoloProtect’s latest Lone Worker Survey, based on responses from 2,500 frontline workers across the UK and Ireland, a half of lone workers avoided a task or location because they feel unsafe. Improving lone worker safety requires understanding real risk, fostering a strong reporting culture, and equipping workers with appropriate tools, the company explains in its feature on page 26.
Elsewhere we hear from Casella, Thompson Solicitors and Dust Control Environmental (DCE) for our Hazardous Substances feature, and the Water Jetting Association and POD for our spotlight on Compliance & Risk Assessment. Ideagen and HAV-Sentry round off our feature focus highlights with updates on Hand- Arm Vibration.
There’s plenty to get you through the month here, and we hope to see some of readers at the Health and Safety Event on stand 3a/X52.
Enjoy the read.
