SMART ALERT BY MINUENDO Smart Alert is a new intelligent system from Minuendo aimed at preventing noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) in the workplace.

Gaining an accurate understanding of an individual’s noise exposure, the wear rate of equipment and whether it is being worn properly has been a major challenge for safety managers – until now. Smart Alert offers the only truly automated and integrated approach to hearing loss prevention available on the market.
The Smart Alert system combines Minuendo’s acoustics design expertise with the latest digital developments to provide a simple, connected, wearable technology that empowers end-users and provides supervisors with actionable insight.
Ergonomic lossless earplugs protect against workplace noise while supplying the end-user with natural sound: maintaining situational awareness and communication with co-workers. The earplugs can be worn on their own or under ear defenders, providing comfortable protection over lengthy periods of time. The earplugs are connected to a lightweight collar, which contains the digital brain of the system.
Smart Alert continuously collects noise level data during each shift, alongside other important information such as maximum exposure and wear time. At the end of the working day, the device is docked and noise data is securely transferred to the Smart Alert cloud platform for analysis.
Automated notifications via email or text provide personal guidance for users regarding daily noise exposure levels. These straightforward suggestions empower employees to lower their risk of NIHL.
The safety manager receives insights in an accessible dashboard and is only alerted when action is necessary. This targeted approach eliminates the risk of
information overload and enables the safety manager to operate more efficiently and effectively.
Historical data on hearing loss prevention is stored over time, providing a vital audit trail of compliance and the ability to spot trends in behaviour.
