HEALTH & SAFETY EVENT GUIDE

DUSTCANARY LTD STAND: 3/K10

DustCanary are bringing innovation around personal real-time dust monitoring wearables to help improve workplace safety.

Real-time, lightweight personal dust monitors and samplers with visual and audible alarms which alert as soon as workers are exposed to increased respirable dust including respirable crystalline silica (RCS) will be demonstrated on Stand 3/K10 at The Health and Safety Event.

Devices on display will include the DustCanary TREND 420 real-time qualitative monitor for respirable dust which is designed for daily use. Lapel mounted enables convenient use without interrupting productivity and work patterns. Real-time qualitative dust levels are displayed and may be transferred to a PC via bluetooth. Used to configure the device, view and record respirable dust levels, the DustCanary application software provides valuable insights and records of minimised exposure.

Also on display will be the DustCanary ALERT 220 dust detector with visual and audible alarms which alert workers if and when exposed to respirable dust levels above preset limits.

Real-time (full time) personal dust monitoring provides key feedback in changes to respirable dust levels and can even reduce the need to wear RPE with confidence in highly abated workplaces. Importantly,

evidence that local exhaust ventilation (LEV) is working as designed and work practices are adequately controlling dust levels help safeguard workers’ respiratory health and boost workplace safety culture.

Will Averdieck, Managing Director at DustCanary, will be presenting at the Practical and Safety Theatre at 2.45pm on Tuesday 25 April where he will be discussing how to improve safety and minimise workplace respirable dust with real-time monitors.
