Hello and welcome to the May 2026 issue of Tomorrow’s FM.


With the warmer weather on the horizon, many will be thinking about soaking in the sun on some European-based holiday or a beer garden in a quaint village in the British countryside. And, whilst it’s important not to envy those folk, I do feel it important to spare a thought for the hard- working facilities managers who must use the nicer weather to prepare buildings and systems for peak seasonal demands while preventing costly breakdowns. It also offers an opportunity for many FMs to support operational efficiency, extend asset lifespan, and minimise unexpected disruptions.
