Editor’s Voice Hello and welcome to the October/November issue of Tomorrow’s Care!
As I write this, I’m sat huddled up in a woolly jumper gradually making my way through a large mug of Lemsip. Yes, it’s cold and flu season! Whilst,
in the health and social care sector, we need to be vigilant all year round, infection-prevention is more important than ever as we reach the colder months. In this issue, we have an extended Cleaning & Hygiene feature section bursting with expert advice to help you stay one step ahead of nasty germs and protect the people in your care.
But as the temperature drops towards the end of the year, one thing that rises significantly is our energy usage. Obviously, as a care facility, high energy usage is inevitable but it is important that we remain conscious of wastage and the things we can do to reduce our carbon footprint. In this issue’s Waste, Pollution & Sustainability focus, we have a range of
tips and examples of how you can make small changes within your care organisation to make a big difference.
As well as all this, we also have a focus on Transport and Mobility; all the
latest news and products from the forefront of the industry; and another industry expert is in the hotseat for our Ten Questions. Also, aſter a great
response to the inaugural edition, our ‘It’s My Life’ feature returns to share the life stories of more incredible care home residents.
Happy reading!
