ICCA INDUSTRY AWARDS 2022:


WINNERS REVEALED The biggest social event in the Irish Contract Cleaning Association’s (ICCA) calendar was held on Friday 14 October 2022 in the Royal Marine Hotel Dun Laoghaire.


The ICCA Industry Awards lunchtime ceremony – hosted by MC Colm O’Regan – was the first time the biannual Awards have been held since 2018 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


Almost 300 commercial contract cleaning personnel, service providers, and guests attended the event. ICCA Chair, Avril McCarthy, acknowledged the role played in the industry by cleaning site operatives and site supervisors, all of whom were celebrated on the day.


The independently judged Awards recognise service excellence in the industry, and celebrate the work being carried out behind the scenes on sites by contract cleaning companies and in-house cleaning teams around the country. Entrants included sites across Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, and

Offices and recognised Innovation, Support Staff, and COVID-19 responses.


Independently appointed judge, Lynn Webster, undertook 66 site visits throughout the summer months, from Limerick to Waterford, Ennis to Milford, and Enniscorthy to Dublin. She noted that the cleaning standard of sites was extremely high and made assessment challenging. She enjoyed a competitive process and delivered a strong message of professionalism in the industry.


The Awards were attended by some of the main companies in the sector including Bidvest NOONAN, Derrycourt, Cagney Contract Cleaning, Momentum, MCR, and Grosvenor.
