As 2022 draws to a close, many of us will be hoping that 2023 will be a more successful 12 months. Economic turmoil and a war in Europe really affected a year that should have marked a return to pre-COVID levels of stability, but instead industries like ours have been badly affected by rising costs, as fuel and energy costs remain high going into the winter months.


It’s not all been doom and gloom, however, as the recent Irish Contract Cleaning Association’s Industry Awards 2022 shone a spotlight on the


industry for the first time in four years. Taking place in mid-October at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, the Awards highlighted the best and


brightest of the Irish contract cleaning industry, and you can read all about the event on page 6.


In this Autumn edition of Tomorrow’s Cleaning Ireland, we’ve got a special look at Technology in the cleaning industry, as Liam Smith from Tork


manufacturer Essity looks at how tech is helping to improve the public toilet experience for people in Ireland in many different ways, while Robert Scott’s Darren Williamson shares insights into some of the business’ latest product developments in cleaning innovation.
