Makita has launched a new 18V Brushless Robotic Cleaner designed for commercial and industrial use.


As part of Makita’s evolving range of cleaning solutions, the DRC300 can map and memorise rooms for cleaning and can be controlled via an app to offer smarter cleaning, productivity, and ease of use for cleaning professionals.

The DRC300 can be controlled directly by the unit, RF remote control (included), or with a smartphone via a bespoke app which offers users even more functionality and benefits. Here, operators can access performance history such as cleaning dates and times and the percentage of cleaning areas covered, which contractors can use as evidence or scheduling.


With a large 3L dust box and HEPA filter to capture very fine particles, and a filter clogging notification to show when the filters require maintenance, the cleaner comes equipped with one main brush and two side brushes, which are detachable without tools, and a large carry handle for easy transportation.

The DRC300 joins an expanding range of cleaning solutions from Makita, including a recent update to its backpack vacuum portfolio. The popular VC008 40VMax XGT Brushless Backpack Vacuum, previously only available as a body only model, is now available to purchase as a kit with 2x 5Ah 40VMax XGT batteries and charger included (model number VC008GT201).

Valet Dual Motor Upright launched


Truvox International has launched its new Valet Dual Motor Upright high-performance commercial vacuum cleaner, ideal for use in healthcare, education, hotels and office facilities.


The VDMU features three-stage filtration, including a HEPA 12 filter that provides a high filtration of all particles of 0.3 microns and larger. The self-adjusting brush head instantly adjusts to the carpet pile height, allowing the brush head to float evenly over the carpet pile surfaces, while the removable extendable wand is ideal for vacuuming upholstery, stairs and hard to reach areas.


The flexible Valet Dual Motor Upright can be used in three positions: upright when using the accessories; a standard working position; and low for when cleaning under furniture.
