100% DESIGN Thousands of design industry professionals will descend on Olympia London this


September for the UK’s longest running design trade event, 100% Design. We take a look at some of the biggest names in flooring you can expect to see there.


As the meeting place for business and design, 100% Design features a showcase of carefully curated brands across five sections:


• Engineering Brands • Design & Build • Workplace • Kitchen & Bathroom • Interiors


First staged in 1995, the show is the commercial cornerstone of the London Design Festival, with 26,211 visitors to the show (BPA audited) across four days in September; taking place at Olympia London.


Architects, designers, specifiers, retailers and developers will all be amongst the visitors to the show, as well as multinational companies looking to source directly for their latest projects.


Throughout the campaign, and at the show, visitors and exhibitors will be invited to share their design experiences. A series of specially-commissioned installations, and the show’s talks programme; Talks with 100% Design, will explore the wide-ranging aspects of experiential design, complemented by the latest UK product launches from a large selection of exhibitors.

SOLUS CERAMICS- E493


Solus Ceramics, supplier of architectural wall and floor tiles, will be exhibiting its latest trendsetting tile ranges at this year’s 100% Design show.


Two of the showcase tiles to be exhibited at the event are Solus Ceramics’ new Patchwork and Metropolitan ranges.


The Patchwork tile range is made up of four neutral colours and can be selected in a hexagon format or a rectangle size.


Metropolitan is inspired by the textures and colours of carbon fiber that features both smooth and 'woven' pattern tiles that are available in a variety of contemporary neutral shades.

Following the success of Hakwood's sponsored feature, ‘HakFolly’, for Clerkenwell Design Week 2016, Hakwood has chosen 100% Design to sponsor a show-stopping entranceway feature for the exhibition.


The installation, titled 'Design Path', is commissioned by 100% Design and is in collaboration with Dutch wood flooring manufacturer, Hakwood. The feature is a 15m-long trail of Hakwood European oak Duoplank in a colourful herringbone pattern. Inspired by this year's 100% Design theme; 'immerse', the fluid installation, designed by Sally Hogarth, meanders across the exhibition floor, exploring vibrations and water patterns. Each plank of wood functions as a section of river generating ripples in the water.

DESSO- CP6


Desso, a Tarkett company, is set to launch Jeans and Ridge, the latest additions to its ‘Essentials’ collection, at this year’s 100% Design show.


Inspired by the diversity of denim, Desso is introducing Jeans a new carpet tile reflecting the textile’s iconic status. The range provides six individual interpretations of denim, designed for an unmistakable and unique identity.


Ridge is a finely-textured carpet tile that offers simple and timeless design. Ridge is available in 12 shades with a detailed structure.


The products in this collection are certified Cradle to Cradle Silver, ensuring that they contribute positively to the environment, human health and are designed to be recycled in a non- toxic closed loop.
