SMOOTHING COMPOUNDS

ECO BOOST

Mapei has extended its Zero Line further with the addition of a new floor preparation product – Ultraplan Eco 3215 Zero.

The new smoothing compound joins Mapei’s full Zero resilient range, now with CO2 fully offset in the entire life cycle. It also benefits from a very low VOC EMICODE: EC1 Plus certified formulation, providing a safe, high-performance solution for contractors and specifiers.

Ideal for fast-track projects, Ultraplan Eco 3215 Zero is formulated for interior subfloors and is used to remove differences in floor thickness from 3mm to 15mm. Especially suitable for high-traffic settings, the self-levelling compound provides exceptional resistance to loads and can be used with water and electric underfloor heating systems. On site, it can be applied over concrete slabs and sand/cement and anhydrites screeds, as well as Mapecem and Topcem screeds. It can also be used to level existing cement, terrazzo, ceramic and stone floors. The smoothing compound sets to light foot traffic in just three hours. Tiles, carpet and resilient flooring can be installed after approximately 12 hours and wood flooring after 24 hours.

Mixed with water, Ultraplan Eco 3215 Zero can be applied with a trowel, rake or automatic pressure pump and immediately levels once spread. An easily workable compound, it has high substrate adhesion and can be spread up to 15mm per coat without shrinkage, cracking or crazing. After application, it quickly develops very high compressive and flexural strength, as well as resistance to indentation and abrasion, ideal for areas subjected to wheeled traffic.
