TCF AWARDS 2026 SECOND PLACE MXS110 Smoothing

Compound by Marldon

The Marldon MXS110 Smoothing Compound was redeveloped and relaunched in 2025 to specifically cater for wood flooring installations. With Marldon’s extensive expertise in wood flooring products, the company wanted to create the perfect system solution, including a smoothing compound developed for use below a wooden floor.

MXS110 has been formulated with wood flooring in mind, ensuring optimum compatibility, stability, and moisture tolerance. Its advanced fibre-reinforced formula delivers a strong, flexible, and highly durable surface that accommodates the natural movement of wood, minimising the risk of cracking or delamination.

With a successful relaunch into the market in March 2025, MXS110 has already been specified and installed on a large number of prestigious projects, becoming a firm favourite for many of Marldon’s customers who value speed, superior performance and reliability.

Boasting depths from 2mm to 50mm in just one pour and the ability to be ready for foot traffic in just 90 minutes, MXS110 saves time and money on every installation.

WHAT THEY SAID:

“We’re absolutely delighted to take away second place at the TCF Awards with our Marldon MXS110 Smoothing Compound. From the outset, our goal was to develop a smoothing compound that supports high-quality wood floor installations and integrates seamlessly within the Marldon system, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. Recognition like this from the industry is incredibly rewarding and reinforces our commitment to delivering reliable, professional solutions for installers.”

– Karl Whiley, Managing Director, Marldon "Super flexible and saves time."
