SHOW PREVIEW
CONCENTRATING ON COMPOSITES
Between the 6-7 June 2023, companies and research centres from across the composite materials sector will come together in Bologna for the fi rst edition of JEC Forum Italy, organised by JEC Group. The event will provide three ‘pillars’
both in the lead-up to and during the event. First, the digital platform available to participants before the event will enable them to schedule one-to-one business meetings between buyers and suppliers from the whole value chain of composites, as well as providing informal networking opportunities during breaks, lunches,
and the evening event. The forum’s conference programme, meanwhile, will include workshops from suppliers presenting their products and technologies to attendees, alongside sessions put on by co-organiser Assocompositi. Thirdly, a Startup Booster competition will evaluate, reward and promote the best innovations from across the composite and advanced materials industry. Participation to the event is
limited to 500 participants subject to accreditation, and after the two-day forum optional company visits will be organised on 8 June.
The fi rst JEC Forum Italy will debut in June

Engineering the future
The Design and Engineering Expo will bring together designers and engineering professionals from all tiers of the supply chain to the NEC in Birmingham between 7-8 June. Companies and industry professionals looking to reduce costs, streamline and optimise their future strategy will uncover the latest technologies, learn from those breaking engineering boundaries and connect with suppliers across the two-day event. The exhibition aims to
gather the latest cutting-edge technological advancements
and educational thought leaders to provide insight into essential design engineering subjects, such as software, connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality (VR), artifi cial intelligence (AI), prototyping and more. Meanwhile, the show’s conference programme will delve into current challenges around supply chains, sustainability, skills shortages and energy use. Visitors will also be able to share experiences, discuss design challenges and learn from fellow success stories in order to shape the future of design engineering in the UK.
