Painting Holidays
We have expanded our range of art teachers and painting holidays in europe for summer 2026. These holidays are suitable for all levels of artists with the majority being watercolours, except those led by Roger who leads an oil-based painting holiday in Portugal. If you are a complete beginner please ask about our online course for beginner artists.
What to expect
Join a group of like-minded artists on a teacher-led holiday in Europe where you can develop your painting skills. Everything is arranged by Friendship Travel including your flights and ATOL protection.

Meet the Artists
Dora Keogh is Dublin-born, but resides in Olhão, where she paints and teaches, focussing on individual self-expression in a relentlessly positive, non-judgemental atmosphere.
Roger Dellar is a figurative artist who paints en plein air and in the studio, painting in oil but is capable in all media. He has a particular interest in light effects and people.
Graham Thew is confident in watercolour and is a drawing demonstrator. Inclusive and understanding, he dedicates time to students, ensuring a fun and informative experience.
Julie Ford is an experienced artist and tutor whose passion is helping others to explore new skills in colour, composition, observation and technique.
Colin Joyce teaches art workshops on land and on cruise ships plus writes for art publications, and uses mainly watercolour and oils.
Luisa Diaz Chamorro was born in Málaga and lives in Italy. Luisa is a professional artist who gives inspirational lessons in watercolour and drawing, both indoors and en plein air.
