I’vebeenahuge fanofOutline Magazine ever since I returnedto Norwichin 2010.Outline remindedmeofThe FlyMagazine that Iworkedfor backinCamden at the turnof theCentury.Outline wasmy‘GoTo’ tofindoutwhat washappening inNorwich. From newlocal acts toestablished nationalones.The Gig Guidewas essential (as toowas theDadJokes Sectionalthoughprobablyless important if I’mhonest.)


As avenuebooker/promoter, OutlineMagazine hasbeen essential tome forover the 10 years I’vebeenatEpic Studiosand before that,OPEN.As far as


magazines go, itwasbyfar the best place toadvertise in. It’sknown andreadbyalmost allmusic fans in the regionandthe distribution aroundthe Citywas secondto none.


Beingof, shallwe say, theolder generation, I love realmagazines that I cantouchandflickthrough althoughI confess tohavenever readitwhilstonthe toilet!Outline Magazine hashada goodrunandI onlywish that itwouldcontinue in print form. This isn’t a eulogy as I’ll be reading it stillonlinebut it’s still sadtoknowthat theprintedform willnot be with us in2022.


OutlineMagazine, always anervy experience reading throughthe latest edition,wondering ifyour sinshavebeen‘CaughtOut’ for all ofNorwichtoseeonthe infamous doublepage stapledspread.


It’sbeenanabsolute joyforming a relationshipwith theOutline team during the past 3andhalfyears in myrole at theSU.Ledbytheir humble face-of-the-cityleader Kevin.Toshareour passionfor live music,whether it’s capturing legendary artistes inTheLCRor beingonthe barrier witnessing the next-big-thing atTheWaterfront Studio.Youcanbe sureofone thing;Outline will always be first in line requesting a reviewslot.

events tothe region.Wehave certainlyseenour partnershipas a keypart toour success inbringing people throughourdoors.We always felt with avaluedposition in the community,Kevinandteam wouldensure that themagazine was in all the rightplaces.Our studentmembers willoſtenwork alongsideOutlineonthe creative content,another reasonour partnershiphasbeensostrong.


Outline continues toprovide a snapshot intowhat awonderful, thriving, inclusiveplaceNorwich trulyis. I’m sureour collaborations will continueandI’m excitedto support thenext stepintoa fully digital chapterofOutline’s journey.
