GINNYHOWE
Novice dayfor the two newbies, Diamond
Court and Ballinamurra Changsha. Good tests from these two, sitting them bothin the top tengoing into the jumping. Not quite Diamond Court’s day, as after feeling abit unsettledinhis show jumping, we decidednot to run cross-country. Ballinamurra Changsha however, felt brilliant and jumpedagreat round over the colouredpoles, adding just four faults; the first pole since we started together. Thenasuper clear cross-country. Fourthand final day. This time withCavorting
Kandy, feeling somewhat like apro, agreat test and asuper double clear to finish fourth. Afantastic weekend competing, withamixed bag of results on paper, but all aprocess that needs to be gone through. I think it is important for horsestobeusedto different type of ground, whether it be hard, or soft and muddy as it was on this occasion. It is good to develop their education on running on not so perfect ground. Having just compiled the above wording for
this blog, Iamsat withKatie (myHead Girl) in mylorry chilling, after along Thursdayat
Houghton Horse Trials, over agin and tonic, crisps and sweets. We are discussing the plans for the next few days; not forgetting, of course, what ready meal we want for dinner! The background noise is that of lorriesbeing towedinacross the park. Yes, it has been raining again! Thankfully, it is now sunnysowith anyluck the shorts will be out by Saturday! We are two dressage tests down, bothof
whichIwas extremely happy with, and now it is time for me to focus on my third and final test for tomorrow, thenonto the jumping on Saturday. Ihope you have enjoyed myblog; apologies
