There is an old Mennonite saying: Stay calm, Stay connected and Stay the course.


This is easier said than done! It could be re- phrased as:


Be patient - Establish your heart - Persevere


A famous example told of someone who, despite his sufferings, demonstrated patience, perseverance and trust in God is found in the Old Testament book which bears his name, the book of Job. Another less well known example, also found in the Old Testament is the prophet, Habakuk, who despite his suffering, tells his hearers that he loves the joy of the Lord.


In the New Testament there is a letter written by James to suffering Jews. Reference - James 1: 2-6 & 5: 7-11 Be patient because the Lord is good, compassionate and merciful


For more than a year, because of the pandemic, we have been suffering too - the loss of loved ones, the pain of isolation, and perhaps having feelings of doubt - will life ever be the same again? We have so many, many questions about the future! Prayer is vital, and we should remain faithful to
