do so for the Sunday, April 25 telecast on ABC. As for the venue, there will be two this year, which makes it venues –

have substituted the horse and wagon for vans, recreational vehicles and the like in their quest to reconnect with the wild and themselves. Promising Young Woman showcased a powerhouse performance by Carey Mulligan as a young woman seeking revenge on the frat boys who sexually assaulted her best friend. Drama with a capital D is at the heart of the next three films.
sir Anthony Hopkins stars as The Father, an aging man who is subscribed to not rely on assistance from his daughter (Olivia Colman). Minari, which is a reference to the water celery that the Korean American family grows on their farm in the Ozarks, has its root – see what I did there – in a tale of what makes a family a family.
I aim to entertain AND inform! Which means there won’t be a chance to judge stars’ digs, like was available to do with the Globes, boo, and I was ready to hurl snarky comments at the television screen! Anyhoo, the usual home of the telecast, the Dolby Theatre, where the

On the surface, Sound of Metal seems an unlikely candidate to be recognized as a contender, with its plotline involving a drummer and not a remake of Flashdance that solely focused on Alex’s day job as a welder. The remaining three films have been culled from real-life events.
Seeing as Hollywood loves to celebrate itself, it was no surprise that one of Mank’s 10 nominations landed it in this category. It’s an ode to old-school Hollywood that trained its lens on the writing of Citizen Kane’s screenplay. Judas and the Black Messiah and The Trial of the Chicago 7 chronicle those trying to raise awareness for their respec- tive causes, as the worlds of the Black Panthers and the seven men on trial for protesting the Vietnam War and led to the Chicago Riots of 1968 are highlighted.
