Standardization to synthetic Biogel surgical gloves can reduce clinical risks and related costs1


As part of a LEAN project, the University of Rochester Medical Center standardized to Biogel synthetic surgical gloves decreasing SKUs from 13 to 3 and regaining 111 cubic feet of storage space in the center core. The clinical risks associated with latex glove use were eliminated, resulting in related cost savings of over $43,000 in one year.2
