Described by centre manager Isobel Ryan as the “little blue jewel in an industrial landscape”, BizSpace Milton Keynes is excited to have unveiled the results of their recent refurbishment. Based in Linford Wood, less than
a five-minute drive from the centre of MK, the building used to be owned by the Park’s Trust.
Offering free onsite parking to all
the businesses housed within it, the refurbishment was almost finished
just before lockdown earlier this year, and has been undertaken with its eco-credentials in mind. BizSpace now offers two electric car-charging points, and for those who are able, an encouragement to cycle to work – with onsite showers

MK SNAP RECEIVES EMERGENCY FUNDING
A SUCCESSFUL YEAR
New Chamber members Global Exposure are excited to be celebrating a successful first year in business. Founded by Reece Hussain,
winner of the 2019 Next Generation Business Awards’ Creative Sector Star of the Year, the team are thrilled to have recently moved into offices at 100 Avebury Boulevard as they celebrate their first anniversary. Specialising in website
development and search engine optimisation, Reece and his team could never have predicted the turmoil 2020 would bring when he took the plunge to set up his own firm. Highly ambitious from an early age, Reece quickly developed from apprentice to Head of Development at an extremely well-respected local firm, before striking out on his own, as it turns out, just months before Covid-19 wreaked havoc on businesses across the globe. Unperturbed, Reece has
developed an impressive list of
clients, working with high-profile brands across the country. Recalling a highlight of the past year, Reece reached out directly to the owners of a popular night club near London who were planning a re-brand. Confident in his ability to deliver
exactly what they needed, Reece attended a first meeting that fell short of the high expectations he places on himself and his team. Going back to the owners, Reece
set up a second meeting in which he ensured all decision-makers attended, he presented his ideas and won the contract, going on to deliver the exceptional service he promised. “Your business can be whatever
you want it to be,” said Reece. And with the tenacity shown to thrive in a first year as difficult as 2020, Global Exposure are certainly ones to watch.

MK Snap recently received an emergency grant from Milton Keynes Community Foundation to enable them to adapt their services so that they could address the needs of those most vulnerable over the Covid-19 pandemic, and continue to provide vital support in these unprecedented circumstances. During the emergency phase of
the grant programme, Milton Keynes Community Foundation has supported local community groups with over £500,000 as they work to deliver vital projects to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. MK SNAP were among the
recipients, and put their emergency grant towards the expansion of their Reaching Out Project – which focuses on adapting their services and support to reach people with learning disabilities who also suffer with underlying health conditions that may prevent them from receiving the face-to-face support offered to them in the MK SNAP Centre. Angie Novell, CEO of MK SNAP,
said: “We have had to adapt very quickly during the crisis.
A service user at MK Snap “This grant has helped us to
fast-forward a ‘digital solution’ that bridges the gap which was created during lockdown. “I am proud of the partnership
with MKCF and the team for identifying and putting into practice creative solutions to support people with Learning Disabilities during this time.”
