Joe Zawacki Announced New General Manager

We're delighted to introduce you to Joe Zawacki, new General Manager of Precision Polymer Engineering LLC.

In addition to a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, Joe joins us with a wealth of experience across a range of

senior management roles,

including 11 years spent with a Leading Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturer in new product development and commodity business management.

Joe comes to PPE after 7+ years working in the oil and gas and other process industries producing automation equipment. This gave him a wider understanding of how other industries manage automation, and implement process control and requirements.

“Since joining PPE in late July, I’ve seen for myself how the IDEX values of Trust, Team and Excellence are central to managing complexity out of the business, and overdelivering on the needs of our customers. I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting our customers and partners, and identifying new ways I can support the PPE team to meet and exceed expectations.”

His breadth of experience and passion for developing organisations and continuous improvement, make Joe Zawacki a perfect fit for PPE LLC to advance the long term growth of the business.

We look forward to working with Joe to continue providing expert sealing solutions for critical semiconductor applications around the world.

Subsea Innovation, a Tekmar Group company specialising in the design and build of bespoke equipment for the offshore energy sector, has successfully designed, built, tested, and supplied a bend stiffener repair hang-off clamp for flexible riser specialist Flexlife.

To meet the tight project schedule and planned offshore installation campaign, the entire project was delivered within 6 weeks of receiving the order with the hang-off clamp now installed on an FPSO in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The repair hang-off clamp provides a failsafe contingency hang-off solution in the event of bolt failure on an existing bend stiffener already in situ and was installed retrospectively without the need for any removal or changes to the existing set-up.

The success of the project demonstrates Subsea Innovations’ ability to provide bespoke engineered solutions based on the company’s field-proven technologies, and the experienced in-house capability that enables them to react quickly, efficiently, and in a safe manner to deliver rapid and robust response equipment and solutions.

OGA appoints Firm to Operate National Data Repository

The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has today appointed Osokey Ltd. as collaborative partner in developing the National Data Repository (NDR) platform, as a critical element of the OGA Digital Energy Platform

Osokey, which was awarded the contract following a competitive tender process will now start developing new services to go live in 2021. The service will continue to host a range of essential information including wellbores, geophysical surveys and petroleum infrastructure but will make inputting and accessing information easier for users. The new cloud-based approach will enable the OGA, for the first time, to host all reported information, including considerable volumes of legacy unprocessed seismic data, in our own systems.

As well as establishing an enduring archive, the new service will make data more accessible and easier to navigate for users. The OGA anticipates that this will assist in identifying potential carbon storage sites and contribute to the UK’s net zero objectives. Whilst also enabling users to share data and access data that is machine readable to use for machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Nic Granger, OGA Director of Corporate, said: “Since launching in 2019, more than 500 terabytes of information have been downloaded from the NDR. We know the data is used extensively by industry, academia and government to help in a range of activities from exploration to research into carbon storage and we are confident that through working with Osokey it will become an even more useful and valued resource.”
