Get in quick for BIFA training
Since we have transformed our training to a digital format, we have seen a real positive appetite for remote learning. The beginning of July saw the restart of BTEC
courses with many fully booked, and August seeing the first leaners complete their online assessments for the newly adapted courses. Carl Hobbis, training and development
manager, said: “It is well documented how training was hit hard with lockdown in March, but the team stepped up to transform it to a digital version, so it is very refreshing to see the positive numbers. “We are planning to re-introduce face-to-face
sessions in the new year in the key locations of Heathrow, Manchester and the Midlands, but the
digital version will also be a permanent part of our calendar. “One of the big benefits of the digital option is
that anyone, no matter their location, can join a course, as long as the dates work for them. “For example, recently, we had delegates from Northern Ireland, Scotland, Heathrow, London,
Newcastle, Southampton, Birmingham and Manchester – all on the same course. You cannot do that with face-to-face. That element has been brilliant.” “Booking numbers are strong for the
remainder of the year so I would urge people to book now to avoid disappointment.”
