The combination of strong quality products and first-class service has meant Midfurn now serve three generations of some families. “We started with the grandparents and are now serving the grandchildren. They are like friends.” Jeremy added.


Design advice is readily given by the team, and visits to customers’ homes often take place to advise what works where, but never is pressure applied, Jeremy and his team won’t hear of that!


Across the emerging furniture trends, he explains; “Some of our customers have large modern extensions with open-plan kitchen and living areas, they’re looking for modern dining sets that accommodate big spaces. Grey is still very popular with pops of colour!”


Retail is said to be taking a hit from the internet, does that worry Jeremy?“It’s not a threat to us, buying cheap and cheerful is very different to buying a quality sofa, bed or mattress. You can’t buy online, you have to see it, know how it’s made, sit, lie on it and experience it. The internet can’t offer that. We can also provide most items as bespoke made in any fabric or colour that the customer wants.” Midfurn however, does have a great website and social media presence.


Summing up the strengths of the business Jeremy said; “We want to sell fabulous quality branded goods. We like to search out things that aren’t sold everywhere. At the same time, we sell brands that are well established with great reputations for quality and craftsmanship. We sell 100% European and British, where we know we will get great quality with a focus on handmade. This includes brands such as Duresta, Parker Knoll, Collins & Hayes, all amazing British brands. I love our Italian brands too, such as Cattelan Italia who’ve been making beautiful furniture since the 1950’s. And Rom, the Belgium brand that makes gorgeous bespoke sofas is also a favourite.” Dicover Midfurn for yourself...
