leadership; work with the ASCA team to further develop resources and opportunities for our members that will enhance their membership experi- ence; and continue to be the voice in Washington, DC, and our state cap- itals to further the mission of ASCA and meet the needs of our members. In addition, as an association, we need to further develop income streams that ensure the fiscal health of the associ- ation and also meet the needs of our members. Providing services and resources to our members furthers our ability to meet our mission and ensures the health of our industry.
MJP: The global pandemic will touch all of us in one way or another. ASCs are small businesses, and we need to advocate for their continued pres- ence in the healthcare landscape. ASCs can be a significant piece of the solution to ensure healthcare is available during this unprecedented time. ASCs might see challenges with volumes, cash flow, access to capital and retention of our work force. ASCA has developed many resources to help members get back to pre-pandemic operations. As far as what members can do to help, that is simple: be engaged. Become a mem- ber of ASCA and encourage others to do the same, participate in the legislative process and continue to provide high-quality healthcare.
