Events Tenacity and determination

In the midst of a pandemic, the challenges facing BIFA Members have never been greater as they work to overcome lockdown restrictions in the UK and around the world

For 31 years BIFA has recognised the tenacity and determination of Members through the annual BIFA Freight Service Awards. In 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, these qualities have never been more important to the smooth and safe running of the nation. BIFA Members have continued to work

throughout lockdown overcoming restrictions, not only in the UK but across the globe, to ensure that the goods required by the British public reach our shores and are distributed in a timely manner.

The range of goods handled by BIFA Members includes shipments of PPE, essential medicines and foodstuffs, technology in high demand for people who suddenly found themselves working from home, educational supplies, leisure and exercise items. Perhaps you have seen a change in the cargo handled, the routing of shipments or your processes and procedures. You may never have entered the BIFA Awards

before, or perhaps you are a regular entrant – whatever the case, 2020 could be your year for the trophy.

The 11 categories and their sponsors for 2020

are: • AIR CARGO SERVICES sponsorship package available

• EUROPEAN LOGISTICS sponsored by TT Club

• EXTRA MILE AWARD sponsored by Descartes
