T hermographic Imaging Requires No Physical Contact
D
ITI Imaging Digital T ermogra- phy has made accommodations
for seeing patients during the stay-at- home mandate at their Austin location. T ey are currently scheduling appoint- ments starting May 13. Adjustments include scheduling appointments farther apart
so there is no cross traffi c in the offi ce, and maintaining the re- quired six feet of distance between patient and practitioner. T er- mography does not require physical contact, so social distancing is easily maintained. In addition, all common surfaces are wiped down between each patient. Community support can be in the form of purchasing giſt
certifi cates, prepaying for promotional appointments, and buy one, get one for 50% off once the offi ce is back open for regular appointments. Digital infrared thermal imaging, or DITI, is a totally non-
invasive, radiation-free, painless procedure with no contact with the body. DITI is a clinical imaging procedure that records the patterns of infrared heat naturally emitted from the body. T ermal images can be used by healthcare practitioners to help assess pa- thology in the body as well as monitor pain. T ermography looks for abnormal blood fl ow, infl ammation and functional changes in the tissue which can oſt en be the indicator of early-stage disease.
