rowds of tractor enthusiasts braved the winter weather and visited the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January for the annual Somerset Vintage & Classic Tractor


Show. Over 230 vintage and classic tractors and implements were on display at this indoor tractor show. The special display this year was Nuffield, Leyland and Marshall tractors, with over 50 various models lined up.


Among the oldest tractors at the show was a 1917 Rumely 25/45 and a 1924 Hart Parr, while one of the newest tractors at the show was a huge new 2019 Valtra T234.


Many other makes were also on display, including the popular Fordsons, Fords, Fergusons, Massey Fergusons, David Browns, John Deere and Field Marshalls and Internationals, many with implements attached. There were also various horticultural machines, model displays and stationery engines.


Thousands of bargain hunters visited on Saturday for the popular auction, held by HJ Pugh, Ledbury, there were over 1,000 lots sold including vintage and classic tractors, spares, engines, together with implements. There were also plenty of trade stands selling tractor and implements, agricultural spares, books, model tractors, etc.


This year's show raised over £12,000 for local charities, cheques were handed to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, School in a Bag, Dorothy House Hospice, NICU Cots for Tots, Royal United Hospital Bath and Yeovil Hospital Ward 8B.
