the new director of shows on January 2. In her new role, she will oversee show approvals and awards tab- ulation, and assist with judges and HorseIQ educa- tional projects. In the fall of 2018, she served as the association’s marketing/sales intern. Ennis is from Sugar Land, growing up riding hunter/jumpers. While earning a BS degree in animal science from Texas A&M University, she competed on the horse judging team and was president of the TAMU Horse- man’s Association.
AQHA announced show office management changes on January 3. Former Chief Show Officer Pete
Kyle resigned, and Justin Billings was promoted to that posi- tion. Billings joined AQHA in April 2017 as manager of shows and in January 2019 was promoted to director of shows. His background before that included an extensive background in both business and horse show management.

Lost Horizon Ranch, Bryan, hosted the first playday in
its winter series on January 4, drawing a great crowd. HPs were Derek Tucker (lead-line), Jace Baptiste (10&U), Chan- ning Horne (11-15), and Melvin Carter (16&O).
