Adjustable Cam For Vending Machine

This adjustable cam for a vending type coffee brewing machine was previously produced as an aluminum die casting. However, investment casting the cam produced greater strength and improved corrosion resistance - an important factor in food handling equipment.

The cam weighs one ounce and is 11//'xl". It is produced m 310 stainless steel with a surface finish of 60-90 RMS.

Jaws For Wire

Crimping Tools These jaws for wire crimping tools are investment cast and supplied to the manufacturer as-cast eliminating costly secondary operations.

In addition to improved casting quality, with even closer tolerances, there was an overall savings of 10-15 % on this application.

Weight of these parts is approximately

two ounces. They are l"xl1;2"x3/1.'' in size. They are cast in manganese-chromium low alloy steel AISI E-6150 and with heat treatment are hardened to Rockwell Scale "C" 37-42.

Aircraft Engines, Fuel

Flow Divider and Selector Control Valve The use of this part is such that it must incorporate weight saving design with functionability.

The investment casting process allows freedom of design necessary to accomplish this goal combined with the quality necessary to meet the highest standards.

The intricate internal passages are cast to the required shape with walls capable of withstanding 2000 PSI upon pressure testing. A hardenable grade of stainless steel AMS-5355 was selected for this part from the wide range of alloys available to the users of investment castings.

The finished item conforms to stringent government require- ments pertaining to X-ray, Zyglo, and heat treatment.
