president Holger Schwichtenberg calls Hargreaves’ departure “an amicable parting of the ways,” saying, “we remain friends.” He says the board felt

board has appointed Ken Miller as its interim general manager. Miller spent the past 13 years with Saputo, most recently as its Western Canadian vice-president of business development. He had been serving as a non-producer member of the BCDA board of directors but resigned that position when he took on the general

manager’s job. Schwichtenberg hopes the

board will have a new general manager in place when Miller’s interim contract expires at the end of July. He also hopes Miller will then return to the BCDA board. “We have room for a non-

elected position on the board and are holding that open for him,” he said.

Communications In other changes, BCDA is

seeking a communications manager. Christine Terpsma, who currently holds the position, will receive a new title reflecting expanded responsibilities when the new staff member is hired.
