A riot of rudeness at THE Leiston Film Theatre!

tagline on the poster read "If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise" - and we were, or maybe we weren't, as some of those around me, who had experienced Team B Production's previous adult offering of Throbbin Hood, were fully aware of what was to follow and there was a distinct air of anticipation in the packed auditorium at Leiston Film Theatre in September.


And so, with the public announcements and warnings of the content to come, the lights were dimmed, the overture was played


and


idea of my literary limitations! This would not be everyone's cup of tea, but by golly did those present enjoy themselves, joining in when invited to, with one good sport encouraged on stage to take part in the filming of an adult film, entitled Forest Hump!


When I saw the show, a few lines were either forgotten or muddled, much to the amusement of the audience, who

raised on two hours of utter naughtiness, courtesy of Wayne Burns and as he refers to them, his cast of mischief makers, as they presented a naughty new twist on the classic story in Rude Riding Hood.

Having not witnessed Throbbin Hood in 2017, which was also taken to the Spa Pavilion Theatre in Felixstowe to rave reviews in 2018, my visit to the adult Pantoland can only be likened to trying a new dish for the first time and being pleasantly surprised at how palatable the experience was. This was a conveyor belt of non-stop jokes and routines and not just of the verbal variety - as your eyes had to be everywhere to catch every sight and sound gag thrown in for good measure. People around me were literally crying with laughter, as the shenanigans on stage ranged from the silly and farcical, to the utterly outrageous.

momentarily fail and collapse in laughter with each other. Ironically, these moments actually helped to make the show, but also demonstrated the camaraderie that the cast share with each other. At times, I found myself thinking, I'd love to see what goes on backstage! So, this sceptical adult Panto


virgin was suitably won over by that was relentless in its delivery and provided an escape from the other Pantomime being acted out in Westminster! The remarks on social media speak for themselves and the audiences adored the efforts of all those involved. Wayne Burns' Team B have certainly made an impression, although many of the familiar faces are not strangers to the stage and are not confined to these outrageous offerings. The talented group are now producing the annual family Pantomimes at Leiston Film Theatre, presenting Goldilocks and the Three Bears between the 16th and 19th January 2020.
