I really wanted to feature the Ashby family because they are such a good example of what happens when you go all in on a common interest. With the support of Bob and Kim they have excelled at their profession’s, they have excelled at racing and they have built up a really solid network of friends who share their interests.


In mid February we all got the worst news possible. Shane passed away. That was a very very hard pill to swallow for a lot of us. As I mentioned elsewhere in this magazine, this year I am focusing as much on the people as I am on the cars and one of the people I am very proud of is Shane. He and his family spent so much time investing in Brendan that unlike most kids Brendan’s age, Brendan has a passion, a skill set and a plan and he is headed straight down the road to success just like all of the Ashby’s before him.
