Crime report Since the lastmeeting there had been two thefts fromvehicles; an a�empted burglary and three burglaries. Therewere also two reports of anti-social behaviour. Socialmedia Thewebsitewas being updated and the Twi�er account had been reactivated. Itwas agreed to set up an Instagramaccount. The deputy clerk asked that a flyer be included in the newsle�er asking for feedback on communication. Thiswas agreed. Itwas agreed to set up a communications sub-commi�ee. GDPR Itwas agreed not to continuewith the contract for the data protection officer for 2019/20. Parking restrictionsMBC had said that due to the high number of objections for Pa�enden Lane andWest End areas, the restriction proposalswould be put to the Joint Transportation Board, butwould not be recommended byMBC. Cllr Tippen would drawup at statement for the JTB andwas prepared to speak at themeeting. Sheephurst Lane Lorries over 7.5tonnes were taking soil fromMarden to a


development in Collier Street. The clerk would contact KCC.

Golf club Itwas agreed to askMBC to allocate £7,140 of S106 funds paid by Taylor Wimpey to a project for three newfairways and greens at the VillageGolf and Sports Club. Pump Itwas agreed to accept a quote of £920 to supply and install newPVC pipework and replace valves at the Jubilee Field pump. Anniversary Therewas a discussion about howto commemorate 125 years of parish councils. Cllr Sharp volunteered to lead organisation of activities andwould check availability of the village centre inOctober.

Pavilion BritishGas had increased the climate change levy on the electricity bill. Tennis The licencewas approved and the feeswould remain as last year. The tennis club had offeredmoney towards re- surfacing the courts. The clerkwould get quotes. Harbour play area Cllr Cook had taken photos of equipment that had rusted. The clerk had forwarded themto the contractor. Speed limitAresident asked for a reduction in the speed limit fromthe bo�omof South Lane to the BP garage. Bus stop KCC hadwri�en to the parish council and properties near to the village hall identifying the proposed site of the bus stops.Work should be finished bymid- September.
