WoodKraft is the up and coming Artisan eatery and latest accomplishment ofMasterchef Champion 2015, SimonWood. Perfectly located onCheltenham’s Regent Street and just a stone’s throwaway fromthe Everyman Theatre, itmakes for the perfect casual dining experience when on a day out with friends or family!
First Impressions When entering Iwas pleasantly surprised at the small, casual feelWoodkraft exhibited before being politely greeted and shown tomy table, whichwas upstairs in a larger roomwhere the décorwas clean and brightwith splashes of rose gold. Therewas a lovely little fireplace on the backwall sparsely decoratedwith ornaments and diffusers. This along with thewooden tables and lighting immediately struckmewith a relaxed and homely vibe.

Gloucestershire’s very own Tubby Toms chilli jam(greatwith their breaded halloumi sticks!) Iwas also happy to see that therewere other dietary options available catering for awider
audience.As for the drink’s menu, I loved that other businesses werementioned, such as locally produced Sibling Gin andBottle Green Elderflower Presse,made in the heart of the Cotswolds. This reallywas a special touch from Woodkraft and mademe appreciate what Iwas there for! As I sat
waiting formy super green smoothie to arrive, I noticed the tables aroundmewere starting to fill up with families,
couples and a group of ladies enjoying alcoholic beverages served in beautiful flute style
glasses.Very stylish but still somehowmanaging to remain casual!My smoothie arrived in a tall glass toppedwith a freshmint leaf and paper straw. Itwas fresh and invigorating, not tomention delicious!
The Meal Mywildmushroomsourdough ciabatta arrived hot and in good time, presented on awooden boardwith a ramekin of chips and salad garnish. I was delighted at the portion size and looking around, I quickly realised that mostmeals coming outwere of a substantial size, ideal to see you through the day. The fresh andwell put together ingredientsmade for a fillingmeal butwithout the heavy feeling afterwards!
The Conclusion Arelaxing spot to enjoy a quality bite to eat. The staffwere also relaxed and very informative, leavingmewith nothingmore to say than Iwill be returning very soon!
