Castle House is a boutique hotel owned and run by a Herefordshire farming family. It has 24 individually designed luxury bedrooms, eight of which are in a nearby townhouse, Number 25.
Located in the heart of Hereford, the hotel is renowned for its friendliness, hospitality and award-winning restaurant. Here the menus are seasonal with fresh, locally-sourced produce, much grown in the kitchen garden on the Watkins family’s Ballingham Hall farm.
With its pretty ‘secret’ garden right beside the old castle moat, it is the place to have a quiet drink, an alfresco lunch or a traditional afternoon tea with a glass of Champagne.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Castle House is the perfect place to base yourself to discover Herefordshire and all its attractions. NB: Keep a look out for the new garden restaurant due to open in late 2019.
